Parts of the UK should prepare for heavy rain and flash flooding this week.
The Met Office has issued two yellow warnings for heavy rain and flooding in North West England and Wales this week, starting on Tuesday 19th of September from 6:00 until Wednesday 20th of September at 18:00.
This comes following heavy rain and thunderstorms in most of the South and East of England yesterday causing chaos to the roads and causing many flooding events.
More thunderstorms are possible as the remnants of Hurricane Lee, which hit New England in the US and eastern Canada, is forecast to move across the UK between Tuesday and Thursday.
The Met Office has reported:
Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, will affect many parts of the UK on Tuesday and Wednesday. The heaviest and most persistent rainfall during this period is expected to affect the high ground of northwest England, northwest Wales and south Wales.
